Scholarships

Scholarships are available to every applicant, and are awarded following an interview with our admissions team.

During the interview we consider the student's commitment to the program, their academic record, and their family's financial circumstances. A scholarship may cover part or all of tuition depending on need.

To be considered, simply select "Yes" on the scholarship question in the application form below. No separate application is required.

Our goal is that no qualified student is turned away for financial reasons. Families who need assistance are encouraged to apply and discuss their situation openly during the interview.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply?

Students from across the United States and Canada may apply to any of our five locations, for the Alim (male) or Alimah (female) track offered at that location.

Do I need prior Islamic education to apply?

No. Students with no prior Islamic education begin at the Hazirlik level. Students with prior study may be placed at a more advanced level after an initial assessment.

Do I need to already know Arabic?

No. Arabic instruction begins from the foundational level. Students who already know Arabic may be placed further along in the program after an assessment.

How is my starting level determined?

Placement is determined by our teaching staff after an initial assessment of the applicant's existing knowledge of Qur'an, Arabic, and Islamic studies. This happens after the application form is submitted.

Is there an age requirement to apply?

There is no strict age cutoff. Placement is based on a student's existing level of religious study, not their age or school grade. Each applicant's starting stage is confirmed after an initial placement conversation.

How long does the program take to complete?

There is no fixed timeline. Students move from Level A1 through A2, B1, B2, Preadvanced, and finally the Advanced Level by passing that level's examination. Progress depends on the individual student's mastery of the material, not on age or secular school grade. Classes run year-round, including through the summer, which allows students to advance steadily.

Is this full-time or part-time?

This is a full-time program.

Is this a residential or commuter program?

This is a fully residential, full-time boarding program. Students live at their location for the duration of their studies.

What are the tuition and enrollment requirements?

Tuition is set by each branch and confirmed with you during the admissions process, so please contact the location you are applying to for exact figures. Tuition covers boarding, three daily meals, and all books and study materials. A 25% sibling discount and an installment plan are available, and scholarships are open to all applicants following an interview.

Are scholarships or financial aid available?

Yes. Scholarships are available to every applicant and are awarded following an interview with our admissions team. During the interview we consider the student's commitment, academic record, and family circumstances. A scholarship may cover part or all of tuition. To be considered, select "Yes" on the scholarship question in the application form. No separate application is needed.

Is this program open to both men and women?

Yes. We register both female and male students, based on the location and track they are applying to. Each of our five locations serves either the Alim (male) or Alimah (female) track, so availability depends on which one a student registers for.

What forms are required once a student is accepted?

Accepted students complete a registration form, an emergency contact and medical authorization form, a photo and social media consent form, a travel consent form, and a tuition agreement. Boarding students also complete a boarding dormitory permission form covering leave, overnight, and holiday policies.

What do I need to bring or provide?

Everything related to the student's studies is provided by us, including books and materials. Students only need to bring personal items for boarding. See our boarding supply list for the full list.

Can I transfer from another Islamic school or madrasa?

Yes. Students transferring from another Islamic school are welcome to apply. Placement is confirmed after our teaching staff reviews the student's prior study.

Do students receive certification?

Yes. Students who complete the Advanced Level and pass its examination receive an ijazah, formal certification to transmit and teach the tradition.
